After empirical review, we decided to start redesign on the pumping apparatus. It’s better to be very thorough in making the right decisions before we start the actual fabrication process. In doing so, we stumbled upon some unknowns and uncertainty in final operating behavior, the dimensions and the fabricating issues. Sometimes one is perfectly capable of designing coherent parts but the actual fabrication issues that come along with the design often are problematic when just a single or a few parts are required. This reality often pushes me deeper into my designer chair to come up with another “approach by view angle”. And so our Rhombus pump is born.
